Lifeprint ("we", "us", "our") operates the Lifeprint mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and an optional display name. If you sign in with a social provider (Google or Facebook), we receive your email and profile name from that provider.
Usage Data
We collect data you create within the App, including programs, routines, tasks, session logs, widget data, and profile preferences. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you subscribe to Pro, synced to our servers.
Device Information
We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostics and to improve compatibility. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App's functionality
- To sync your data across devices (Pro subscribers)
- To authenticate your identity and secure your account
- To process subscription payments
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the App based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
- Ory Kratos — Self-hosted identity management for account registration, login, and session handling. Your authentication data (email, hashed password, session tokens) is processed by Kratos on our own infrastructure. No data is sent to Ory's cloud services.
- RevenueCat — Subscription management and payment processing. RevenueCat receives your anonymous user identifier and purchase receipts from Apple or Google to manage your subscription status. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — Payment processing for in-app subscriptions. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
4. Data Storage and Security
Free tier data is stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local storage. Pro tier data is synced to our self-hosted PostgreSQL database on servers located in the European Union.
We protect your data using:
- TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Encrypted storage for session tokens on your device
- Hashed passwords (never stored in plaintext)
- Database-level access controls and regular backups
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove your data from our servers within 30 days. Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the App.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for data processing

7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
